Love and prayers

Love and prayers, laughter and delight, food and fun, family and friends, Veronica and Chuck.

All words that belonged together at your wedding.

MEET THE GUAMANIANS

Relaxed, warm and connected were the order of the day down at the house at Denistone as the Flores family got ready.

Chuck's face lit up reading Veronica's card.

MEANWHILE AT THE SAHABU'S ...

Children, preparations and laughter all overlapped. And then there was the question of the veil.

THEN IT WAS TIME

The clans had gathered. The church was ready. And the Pixar cartoon delighted all: "I lava you."

“We have come rejoicing into the house of the Lord for this celebration, dear brothers and sisters, and now we stand with Chuck and Veronica on the day they intend to form a home of their own.”
— Fr Wim

Your presence here today is a reminder of the amazing people God has placed in our lives and how He continues to bless us. We are humbled by the love, support and friendship you have all provided us throughout our journey as individuals, as a couple and now as husband and wife.”
— Veronica and Chuck

This is the first day
Of the rest of your life
— Recessional Song: Hold Us Together
Stand side by side, prop each other up once in a while, trust and keep walking with God.
— Alice

Afternoon tea, and a sea of congratulations

CHASING THE LIGHT, AND FINDING IT

V: like the misty morning breeze
C: like a sunset by the sea
V: boy you’re on my mind
C: baby day and night
— Chuck's song
Time is too slow for those who wait, too swift for those who fear, too long for those who grieve, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love, time is eternity.
— Henry Van Dyke, via Alethea
I see two people who really belong together, and would fight long and hard for each other, because of the commitment and the great love they have.
— Alice

FEASTING WITH THE BRAZILLIANS

The words "meat sweats" were muttered more than once, usually as people went back for more, in celebration. The shoe game had people in stitches.

WORDS OF LOVE AND WELCOME

Chuck: Welcome to the Sahabu family! And Veronica, although you’ve become Flores now, you are still my little girl!
— Herianto
Who was this strange boy ... who had stolen my sister’s heart? Would he be wearing a grass skirt if we ever met him and showing more leg than my sister?
— Brendan
We are so blessed to have this community, this global community around us and we are just truly grateful for the distance you have travelled.
— Veronica
It was God and his church that brought us together. We didn’t know it back then but we sure do know it now.
— Chuck
I am a sucker for a musician
— Veronica

Party time

No longer are they all alone, with aloha as their new home.
And when you visit them this is what they sing.

I have a dream I hope will come true
That you’ll grow old with me and I’ll grow old with you
We thank the earth, sea, the sky, we thank too.

I lava you
